Alexis Sanchez has revealed he is very happy at the Emirates, putting an end to reports claiming he is stalling on signing a new contract with Arsenal because he is unhappy at the club.

The Chile international has 18 months left in his current deal and talks to extend his contract is yet to be successful.  We were made to believe that the striker has rejected a deal worth about £180,000 already and is holding out for more money.

It is claimed he has received a staggering deal from an unamed Chinese club which has turned his head but the striker has now denied such claims, saying he is happy at Arsenal and hope to win titles here.

The 28-year-old told Arsenal Player, as quoted by The Metro: ‘I definitely feel like an important player and my team-mates let me know every day.

‘I try to prove I am an important player every day and game after game. I believe we have the players and the quality to win many things.

‘I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to give the fans a new title.’

The forward also had some words for the fans and thanked us for our support.

‘We always get our fans support in the thick and thin.

‘We must win the Premier League or Champions League for them.’

I’m sure we are all delighted with the striker’s words, aren’t we? This shows that negotiations to extend his contract isn’t as tough as the media portrays it to be. We can’t say that there are no differences between Arsenal and the player at the moment but if there is any, it will be resolved very soon.
