Great News As Arsenal Long Term Target Reveals He Is Off To London

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Long-time Arsenal target Edinson Cavani has revealed he is open to a move to the Premier League, claiming it is one of the best leagues in the world.

The Uruguay international has been linked with all of England’s top clubs in the past. Last summer, he was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates but PSG were not willing to sell the striker.

He is expected to be linked with a move away from PSG again in the summer and has now revealed he will relish the opportunity to play in England, although admitted he is happy in Paris.

“Every footballer knows the Premier League is a great league,” Cavani said. “It’s very competitive and it’s among the best leagues in the world. In football you never know what is going to happen. If one day I have the opportunity to play in England, I am sure I would enjoy it there.”

Cavani has scored 18 goals in 16 league games, which just goes on to prove that he is one of the very best in the game. He will definitely be a great addition to our squad but I do not see that happening anytime soon.

However, there could be a slight chance of us signing the Uruguayan. PSG are reportedly interested in signing our own Alexis Sanchez in the summer, we could well use their interest in our star man to sign Cavani.

Obviously, they are two different players but with Sanchez refusing to sign a new contract, this could be a great opportunity to sign another world class replacement.

Gooners would you welcome Cavani at the Emirates? Would you also take him in a swap deal involving Sanchez?

Personally, I would love to see Cavani become Gunner and wouldn’t mind getting him at the expense of Sanchez if the Chilean refuse to sign a new deal with us.
