Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has made a bold admission about the situation of Mesut Ozil at Arsenal.
The Frenchman urges the former Real Madrid man to commit his future at the Emirates.
Ozil, has just 18 months left on his current contract at Arsenal and have been stalling in securing a new deal with the Gunners due to Weekly wage and also uncertain about the future of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
Henry feels that Ozil deserves more respect for the way he plays the game and to see the World Cup winner lift the Premier League trophy with the Gunners.
Writing in his column for The Sun, Henry said: “Mesut is a genius. Normal people don’t think like him. If he tries a backheel and loses it people say he should have taken care of the ball. If it comes off everyone stands up: ‘Wow, what a player!’
“The only thing is when a guy goes past him at times he lets him go. But Robert Pires used to do that, too.
“Mesut isn’t going to work like an Adam Lallana — that’s not him. We knew Robert wasn’t the sort to put his foot in. But that was OK, Patrick Vieira was covering for him.
“The team is all about balance and helping each other. But I’d love to see Mesut really boss games.
“He can make this Arsenal HIS team. Make the Emirates HIS home. Make it HIS era at Arsenal.
“The Emirates has two FA Cups — he can give it its first title. That’s history right there. Become a legend.”
