AC Milan are still keen on signing Arsenal star Jack Wilshere at the end of the season, according to the Daily Cannon.
The Italian giants who tried to sign the midfielder last summer are not prepared to give up on signing him and will try again at the end of this season.
In August, Wilshere snubbed a move to Milan in favor of a switch to Bournemouth and apparently, the Serie A club have been impressed by the player’s performances so far at the Dean Court. They will now keep close watch on the midfielder’s situation and try to sign him again should the opportunity arise.
With 18 months left in Wilshere’s contract and Arsenal yet to open talks with his representatives over a new contract, Milan believe that they can tempt the player to change club if his situation remains like this until the end of the season.
Although Wenger has said he wants Wilshere to stay here for a long time and that talks will commence at the right time, the club is more focused on extending the deals of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. A new offer for Wilshere is not yet forth coming and the club has to show its seriousness by initiating talks with the player’s representatives soon or risk losing the midfielder with Manchester City also keen on his services.
With the way things are looking, waiting until Wilshere returns from Bournemouth could be a bit dangerous for Arsenal as it will give interested clubs enough time to tempt him into leaving. We have to act now!
