Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has refused to rule out a move away from Borussia Dortmund in the next transfer window.
Aubameyang was one of Europe’s most sought after forward last summer transfer window and Arsenal were among the numerous clubs who enquired about signing him but Dortmund were not willing to sell and dismissed all enquiries.
The Gabonese international has now given interested clubs like Arsenal hope over the possibility of a future move. Although, he ruled out leaving the Signal Iduna Park this month, he says he is unsure how long he would remain there, opening up the possibility of a summer move.
The striker has scored 20 goals in 22 appearances for BVB this term with Arsenal and Manchester City believed to still be interested in signing him.
“No one can predict the future,” he told Fussball Bild, as quoted by Goal. “The only thing for sure is that I’m currently with Dortmund and I love it there.
“But I cannot say that I’ll stay for another two, five or 10 years. It is possible that in June a club comes to an agreement with Dortmund.
“At the moment I really don’t think about it. I focus only on the work with my team-mates with Dortmund and Gabon.”
Wenger is a big admirer of the forward and his availability will definitely attract Arsenal’s attention.
Aubameyang is currently one of Europe’s best strikers, if not the best and will be a massive coup if we can bring him to the Emirates amid all the interest in his services. Signing the Gabonese will show that we can now challenge with other top clubs for the signatures of top players.
