Arsenal are in talks with the representatives of Algeria forward Rachid Ghezzal, according to reports.
We recently covered a report that claimed Arsenal are one of the numerous clubs monitoring the winger’s situation at Lyon but it has now emerged that attempt to bring the midfielder to the Emirates is in full swing.
According to the Sun via the Express, Ghezzal’s client is in talks with Arsenal to ascertain the possibility of the player moving to the Emirates in the summer.
The winger’s contract at Lyon expires at the end of the season and it is thought that he is keen to leave.
The arrival of Memphis Depay at the French club has thrown Ghezzal’s future into further doubt which could see Lyon allow him leave for free in July.
The report also claims Wenger is open to the idea of signing the player on fre transfer.
Everton, Atletico Madrid and Monaco are also interested in the winger and will rival Arsenal for his services. The Merseysiders are reportedly ready to offer the Algerian a deal worth £100,000 a week to lure him to the Goodison Park.
This could pose a problem to Arsenal signing the winger, if really we are interested in his services, I don’t think Wenger would pay as much as Everton are willing to pay, which could play a key part in his decision making.
