Thierry Henry Reveals MEGA Star Will Sign For Arsenal Before Deadline Day

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry has urged Mesut Ozil to sign a new contract at the Emirates and become a club legend just like him.

Ozil is in talks with Arsenal over a new deal but an agreement has been difficult to reach which has in turn placed his long term future in doubt.

It’s been claimed on the pages of the newspaper that the midfielder along with Sanchez is demanding a new deal worth close to £300,000 to extend their stay. Although,  the player has subsequently denied those claims, instead claiming he wants the future of Arsene Wenger to be resolved first before signing a new deal.

And Thierry Henry in his column in the Sun has urged the German to sign a new contract with Arsenal if he wants to be remembered by the fans forever.

“Mesut has won the World Cup with Germany. But at club level, he has only one title, with Real Madrid in 2012. He will be desperate for more

“But he can do that at the Emirates. That’s why I’d urge him to stay and become an Arsenal legend.

“Win that first title. Be the future of Arsenal. Not just the assist man, but the guy who drives the team forward.

“This Arsenal side are not far from winning the title.

“If this team win the league they will go down in history. They will be special. Mesut can be remembered as one of the club’s greatest-ever players.”

Whether Ozil will listen to Henry or do what he likes, we don’t know but we can only hope the German’s decision favors us. Sanchez has been a key man for us since he joined in 2013 and it will be so devastating to see him leave now. I believe he will sign a new long term contract here and then help us win major titles we have been yearning for.
