Arsenal officially announced they have rewarded teenager Ben Sheaf with a contract extension at Arsenal with Arsene Wenger assuring him is future remains at the club.
The 18-year-old has been a regular in the under-23 team managed by Steve Gatting for the past two seasons. But he is yet to feature for Arsenal’s first team.
The England international has played over 70 times for the Gunners at different age levels.
The versatile star can play in defence and in midfield.
An official statement reads: “Ben is a lovely player to manage,” Gatting told Arsenal Player.
“He has great character, he can use either foot and tonight played right back and has played central midfield, right midfield.
“Wherever he plays he does his best and again he scored and he has that quality around the box.”
