Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Steven N’Zonzi at Sevilla, according to Tribal Football.

N’Zonzi has been in fine form for the Spanish club this season and is now attracting interests from Europe’s top clubs.

Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea among others have been linked with the midfielder at some point this season but it’s suggested that it is the Gunners who hold the most serious interest in the midfielder.

The report claims Wenger is desperate to reinforce the centre midfield position this month in order to bolster our chances of challenging for the league title this season.

And if this particular pieces is to be believed, Arsenal have identified N’Zonzi as a top target. We may have been boosted in our attempt to sign the midfielder as Sevilla have already identified a replacement for the 28 year old.

It is believed that Wenger intensified efforts to sign the midfielder after Granit Xhaka received his second red card of the season which will see him miss the next four league games.

N’Zonzi being linked with a move away from Sevilla isn’t surprising as it is normal with players doing well at their clubs but the player being linked with Arsenal is very surprising.

Wenger doesn’t really have any need for a new midfielder considering it is the strongest position in our squad. We may be missing some players at the moment but with the exception of Cazorla, there is no long-term absentee.

In the next couple of weeks, Elneny and Xhaka would become available again. Hence, we could become overcrowded in midfield when everyone becomes available and a new face comes in this month. So i really don’t think there is any need for us to jump into the market. Gooners, what do you think?
