According to reports making the round states, Arsenal have entered advanced talks with Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri over replacing Arsene Wenger at the end of the season.

Wenger’s current contract expires at the end of the season and he is yet to be offered a contract extension.

The Sunday Express writes that discussions with Allegri’s camp are at an advanced stage already. But no agreement has yet been reached but it appears the Italian is keen on a move to the Emirates.

He has been encouraged to make the move by his mentor, former Pescara manager Giovanni Galeone.

Galeone said: ”The merry cycle at Juventus is over, I hope his future is in the Premier League after winning another league title (with Juventus).

”I think his cycle in Turin is finished. Arsenal could be the right challenge for him, for his own good, succeeding Wenger in a team that has not won for a long time.”

Allegri, who has won Serie A with AC Milan and two league titles with Juventus, has a contract with Juve until 2018.
