Chelsea and Arsenal are set to go head to head in the race to sign Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to bookmakers Betstars.

Belotti has established himself as one of Europe’s top strikers this season and he is already attracting interests from a number of top clubs.

Arsenal have been continuously linked with the forward and it was thought that Wenger would make a move to sign him in the summer transfer window.

But Betstars believe the Gunners would face serious competition from Chelsea who have lined up the striker as a replacemen for Diego Costa.

The bookmakers via the Daily Star believe both clubs are neck-and-neck with each other in the race to sign the striker. They have placed both clubs as favorites to sign the striker in this month’s transfer window and at an odd of 15/8.

“When the January transfer window opened Arsenal appeared the clear frontrunners to snap up Andrea Belotti from Torino but Chelsea have now emerged as their market rivals to sign the Italian striker,” said Ian Marmion, Director of Trading at BetStars.

“Both London clubs are evenly priced, at 15/8, to secure Belotti’s signature.

“With less than a week to go until the window slams shut, it’s too close to call where Belotti will end up on February 1st.”

Well, everyone thinks we are one of the favorites to sign Belotti this month but I don’t think so. Wenger has ruled out making a major signing this winter and I don’t think he would change his mind even if Belotti becomes available.
