Alexis Sanchez Wants Out- Atletico Madrid Wants Deal To Happen In Summer

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid continue to be linked with Alexis Sanchez as they search for a Antoinne Greizmann’s replacement.

In December, reports claimed Atletico has identified Sanchez as the man to replace Greizmann who reports claim is set to move to England this summer.

The French striker is being linked with a move to the Premier League with Man Utd and Arsenal believed to be preparing big money bid for his services.

Atletico are resigned to losing their star man and reportedly wants Sanchez as a replacement.

Spanish football expert Kike Marin poured cold rumor on this report in an interview with Skysports last week, claiming the Spanish giants don’t have the financial ability to compete with Arsenal or lure it’s top player but the Daily Mirror via the Daily Star still reckon Atletico can sign Sanchez.

The report claims Diego Simeone men are ready to spend up to £60m of the money they will get from Greizmann’s sale on Sanchez.

Sanchez is still stalling on signing a contract extension to his current deal which expired in 2018 and the report adds that Wenger would be open to selling him if he doesn’t sign a new deal before the end of the season.

Arsenal fans won’t want this to happen but we could be powerless to stop him if he refuses to signs a new deal before the summer as he would have just one year left in his contract by then.

Obviously, it will be heartbreaking to see our star man leave the club but it would be more devastating to lose him to a club like Atletico who don’t have as much financial power as we do. If it happens they are able to lure the player away from us, then we will need to take a look at ourselves and ask questions.
