Petr Cech’s agent Viktor Kolar has dismissed suggestions that his client’s future is in doubt.

Cech’s future has been subject of speculation in recent weeks after several reports emerged, suggesting Wenger is in search of a successor.

In the January transfer window, the Gunners were linked with one or two world class keepers but the reports heightened after Cech’s howler again Chelsea a fortnight ago.

In the space of one week, the Gunners have been linked with Manchester City’s Joe Hart, Bayer Leverkusen’s Lernd Beno and Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel.

But Kolar reckons his client future isn’t under any threat whatsoever, insisting the player’s position as Arsenal’s number one is “very secure”

“Petr’s position at the club is very secure and a summer transfer can be ruled out,” read a statement to reporters in the Czech Republic, as quoted by The Express.

“Petr will be part of Arsenal until at least the end of his current contract and I am convinced that he will continue to have a leadership role in the team.”

Cech joined Arsenal from Chelsea in 2014 and has become a main stay in Arsenal’s first team since joining us. I think he has been impressive this season albeit on one or two occasions but considering his age, it would be wise if we begin our search for a successor now.

It took us years to replace Jens Lehman because we weren’t prepared for it, we have to put ourselves in a good position in Cech’s case. As we all know, he can’t continue forever.
