According to reports from The Sun, Arsenal might end up losing Lucas Perez as Seville are preparing an offer for him at the end of the season.

Perez who joined Arsenal from Deportivo La Coruna for a fee of about £17.1m ($21.20m) last August has found first team opportunities limited. He was brought in with the intention of making an immediate impact in our first team but that was not to be.

In his early days, he found first team opportunities limited due to the superb form of Alexis Sanchez and subsequently found himself further down the pecking order due to the return of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck from injury.

According to the Sun, the striker’s limited game time at the Emirates is beginning to bother him.

The Spanish striker has made just two league starts this season and the newspaper claims he could leave the Emirates this summer if his situation doesn’t improve before the end of the season.

The striker was heavily linked with a loan move to the Serie A in the January transfer window but he opted to stay here and fight for his place.

Seville would almost certainly be able to offer Perez a better chance of first team football while a return to La Liga would suit the striker’s playing style.

However, from all indications, his chances of changing the situation is very slim. Alexis Sanchez has been Arsenal’s best player by far and is expected to remain Wenger’s first choice up front until the end of the season. Olivier Giroud is also doing well and pushing Sanchez for a spot in the starting xi while Welbeck has returned from injury in fine form.
