Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has revealed he is in no hurry to sign a new deal with the French club.

The midfielder has become a first team regular under Unai Emery this season and is enjoying his finest campaign for the French club. Rabiot struggled to command a regular first-team spot under former PSG boss Laurent Blanc and was heavily linked with a move away from the French giants.

Arsenal were touted as one of his possible destinations with reports claiming Wenger is a big fan of the player but a move never materialized.

According to Talksport, the midfielder has put Arsenal on red alert by revealing he is not thinking about signing a new contract at the moment.

“Very honestly, I do not want to think about that. I am under contract until 2019, it is not urgent,” Rabiot told Le Figaro, as quoted by Talksport.

“I would prefer to stay concentrated on football. We will have to talk about this again at the end of the season. The club is aware.

“They are trying to protect themselves, extend as many players as possible and I understand that.

“I know that they are counting on me a lot, that I am one of the young players that could form the core for the future.”

Although the midfielder didn’t indicate he wants to leave PSG, it will be interesting to find out if Wenger can finally lure the young man to the Emirates.

Following his superb performances this season, Wenger’s admiration for the midfielder must have grown over the last few months. It is going to be more difficult for us to sign him now, considering the performances he has put up this term but I believe we won’t have anything to lose by making an attempt.
