Arsenal could join Liverpool in the race to sign Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke, according to reports.
Highly rated England under-21 youngster Solanke is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer having failed to agree terms on a new deal with his club.
The Sun via the Daily Star claims the youngster is demanding a staggering £50,000 a week salary from Chelsea to extend his contract which his club are reluctant to pay and he is now seeking an exit from the club.
Liverpool are believed to be interested in signing the striker when his contract ends at the end of the season. The young striker is expected to cost the Reds around £8m as compensation fee to Chelsea.
But Arsenal will now rival Liverpool for the striker’s signature.
The report claims the Gunners are big admirers of the young striker and would make a move for him regardless of Wenger’s future.
Chelsea are already frustrated with Solanke’s wage demands, Antonio Conte dropped a big hint on Friday that the club is expecting the player to leave the club but his next destination is unknown for now.
Everyone who is familiar with Arsenal’s dealings will know that there is no way we would meet his demands unless he reduces them but if he wants a place where he would get opportunities to break into the first team, the Emirates would be the right the place for him.
