AC Milan are interested in signing Arsenal star Lucas Perez, according to reports.

Perez completed a £17m move to the Emirates in August and is already being linked with a move away just less than one year.

The 28 year old has struggled for game time since he joined us and he currently finds himself behind Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck in Wenger’s pecking order.

The striker who has made a handful of appearances this season is keen to leave the Emirates this summer in order to bolster his chances of making Spain’s 2018 world cup squad and according to Messaggero via Sports Mole, Milan are willing to offer him an exit route out of Arsenal.

The Serie A giants are prepared to table a bid of about £17m for the striker.

They are looking to sell current first choice Carlos Bacca so as to make space for a new striker in their squad. Perez isn’t their first choice target who happens to be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but he is being considered as an alternative target to the Gabon international.

Perez has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 18 appearances this season, even though he has played the full 90 minutes of a game on six occasions.

It would be difficult for Arsenal to hold on to Perez this summer as he is understandably disappointed with his situation, hence Milan has a big chance of signing him. Looking at his statistics, I can’t understand why he hasn’t been given more minutes on the pitch. He has been involved in 12 of our goals despite his limited appearances, that is more than impressive for me and I think he deserves more opportunities.
