Arsene Wenger is attracting interest from China but he is set to snub the offer in preference of remaining in Europe, according to a report in the Daily Star.
Wenger’s contract at Arsenal is set to expire at the end of the current season but he is yet to decide whether to accept the new contract on the table or not.
Reports have claimed that he could decide to step down if he doesn’t win a major title this season and clubs from China who are keen on his services have been alerted by those reports. However, Wenger will turn down their advances and he would prefer to remain in Europe.
This means that there is a small chance that he would remain at Arsenal. It is not the first time Wenger is receiving offers to quit Arsenal but this one is a bit different from others because he wouldn’t be committed to us this time around unless he decides to extend his stay here.
His willingness to remain in Europe means he still has the hunger and drive to help Arsenal challenge for titles.
Although some fans have been calling for the French man to step down, I think that he is likely to continue as boss. Wenger has spent 20 years at Arsenal and has become a part and parcel of the club already, he is unlikely to leave a crucial decision like this so late, knowing it could put the club in a tough position if we have to look for a successor.
