Arsenal target Marco Asensio is reportedly ready to leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The highly talented playmaker is struggling to feature regularly at the Bernabeu due to the high level of competition for places in their squad.
The few times he’s been given an opportunity, the winger hasn’t failed to impress, showing his potential and quality on the pitch.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol via the Daily Star, Premier League trio Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have been alerted by the winger’s talent and could go head to head in the race for his signature.
Asensio has scored seven goals and provided one assist in just twelve league starts this season which is more than impressive considering he is playing for a big club like Real Madrid where there is so much pressure.
The Spaniard will be a great signing for Arsenal both for the present and the future but it would take a lot for us to sign him. His contract at Real doesn’t expire until 2022, which means his club is in a strong position to decide whether he leaves or not. It could require a bidding war between the PL trio and also a huge bid to tempt Madrid into selling.
Arsenal have always avoided entering into a bidding war when trying to sign players, I don’t think we would begin with Asensio and that could all but end our chances of signing him.
