Clubs in China are keeping tabs on Mesut Ozil’s situation at Arsenal, according to report.
The playmaker’s contract expires at the end of next season and he is yet to decide whether to sign a new deal or not.
It is believed the German is waiting for Arsene Wenger to resolve his future before deciding whether to extend his own contract. It is likely that he would push for an exit if Wenger leaves and Chinese Super League clubs have reportedly made him a target.
According to The Sun via The Daily Express, clubs from the Asia country are lining up big money bids for Arsenal’s talisman. They are willing to pay huge transfer fee to sign the midfielder and also offer him a mammoth salary package.
It is being suggested that he could earn as much as £300,000 weekly if he moves to China.
Chinese clubs have been able to tempt quality players from major European clubs in recent years and Ozil who is very popular in their country will be a huge signing for the development of their league.
However, I reckon that there is only a slight chance of Ozil moving to China, many European clubs would join the race to sign him if Arsenal decides to sell and the lure to challenge for titles in Europe should be greater than that of receiving huge bucks in China.
