Juventus have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.
Mbappe is drawing plaudits from football fans and pundits with his superb performances for Monaco this season and it appears top clubs have also taken note of the youngster.
Arsenal are one of the clubs who could make a move for the striker in the summer transfer window. Wenger revealed he tried to sign him last summer and will make an attempt to bring him to the Emirates if Monaco decides to sell in the future.
However, Italian giants Juventus are prepared to rival Arsenal for the striker’s services.
The Serie A leaders attention have been caught by Mbappe’s fine form and they are now set to join the race to sign him.
Arsenal are not expected to face competition from Juventus only as Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in the French man.
Mbappe is being tipped to follow the footsteps of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry who was one of the best strikers in his generation, little wonder he is attracting this amount of interest at a tender age.
Any interested club will have to cough out a huge bid for the player as Monaco will not be tempted by any offer less than the £60m Manchester United paid for Anthony Martial in 2015.
That’s a huge fee for an 18-year-old and this means an Arsenal move for him will break the current club transfer record which is £42.5m
No doubt, Mbappe is a very talented lad but I don’t think he will end up at Arsenal, not for the fee Monaco want for his services.
