Arsenal have joined the race to sign Nigeria wonder kid Henry Onyekuru, according to reports.
The Gunners are widely known for signing some of football’s best young talents and then nurture them into top footballers, with the likes of Hector Bellerin and Cesc Fabregas being prime examples.
It appears the club is not prepared to change that culture as they are now hot in the trail of Onyekuru.
The 19-year-old currently plays for Belgium side FC Eupen. He has been in fine form, with 14 goals to his name already this season.
Top clubs have been linked with the young winger and a bid of £1m was rejected from Celtic for his services in January.
According to The Daily Mail via Football Insider, Arsenal have now joined the likes of Celtic, Borussia Monchengladbach and Sevilla in the race to sign the Nigerian.
The youngster has already hinted at a summer move away from Eupen this summer and interested clubs will be licking their lips at the prospect of signing one of Football’s brightest talents.
However, he isn’t expected to come cheap as his club has placed a £6m price tag on his head.
Considering Onyekuru’s talents, Gooners will be excited to see that our club is being linked with the forward. With a valuation of £6m, Arsenal are in a strong position to sign the young man considering it is the only club among others that have the financial ability to pay that much for a young player.
