Arsenal Involved In Ridiculous Swap Deal Which Could Piss Fans Off

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Spanish giants Barcelona remain keen on prising Hector Bellerin away from the Emirates this summer, according to reports.

The 22-year-old defender has been the subject of interest from Barcelona since last summer but Arsenal has repeatedly warned that he isn’t for sale.

In a bid to dash Barcelona’s hope of signing him, he agreed a new six-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal in November but it appears the Spanish giants haven’t been put off by that.

Barca are still keen on the defender and Arsenal have been forced to put a hefty £34m price tag on the player. The Spanish giants are unwilling to pay that much for a defender and Don Balon via The Express claims they are now considering offering players in a part-exchange to reduce Bellerin’s fee.

The report subsequently claimed Arsenal are keen on a swap deal and have demanded Turkey playmaker Arda Turan and 18-year-old starlet Marc Cucurella.

It’s suggested that Barcelona could let Turan leave but would find it difficult to let Cucurella who is highly rated at the club to join Arsenal.

Shockingly Arsenal are said to have been in negotiations with Barcelona for sometime and we are exploring all options as regards the transfer of the defender.

Reports in Spain, they say? There are hardly few credible sources in the Spanish media that are reliable, hence i’ll advise all Gooners not to take this news serious.

Arsenal are looking to strengthen its squad and with question marks over the future of some players whose contracts will run out in the next couple of years, it won’t make any sense to lose a player who still has more than a decade left on his contract.
