Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is yet to sign a contract extension with the Gunners and he is yet to reveal if he will stay at the North London club next season.
The Frenchman is on the verge of failing to qualify the Gunners for the Champions League next season for the first time in 21 years since he took over the helms of affairs.
Arsenal will face Everton in the final day of the Premier League on Sunday, a must-win game for us if we want to qualify for the champions League and even that will depend on Liverpool or Manchester city slipping up from either Manchester City or Liverpool who face Watford and Middlesbrough respectively.
Ahead of his season defining clash with Everton this weekend, Wenger was pressed on whether or not he’d be happy to work alongside a director of football at Arsenal and told The Telegraph;
“Director of football – when I say that – is a guy who makes the decisions that normally are down to the manager,
“That means selection of players, buying and all matters that concern the functioning of the team on a daily basis.
“Of course we can need help to become better. I am always open to open that. I am always open to things that improve the quality and the future of the club. After that, you have to see if it’s really efficient because the titles do not always make you better.”
