Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has revealed he would like to stay at Emirates despite reports linking him with a move away from the North London club.
The 30-year-old currently earns £100,000-a-week on his current contract has struggled for game time this season with Arsene Wenger preferring to field Sanchez upfront and with Danny Welbeck back from injury, Giroud have found it had to lock down a first team shirt.
However, Giroud claims he is happy at Arsenal and is determined to win the Premier League with the Gunners. Speaking to French website football.fr, he said:
“There is nothing fixed, but I would say that today I feel good at Arsenal. I have two more years on my contract, we will see what the future will be.
“The Premier League is an increasingly high-profile and contested championship, where five or six teams can potentially claim the title. This is why I still want to continue to win this title.”
Giroud has been remarkable despite failing to hold down a starting spot, he found the back of the net 12 times this season.
I doubt reports linking him away are true as he recently just signed a contract extension with the Gunners in January.
