According to reports from the Daily Star, Arsenal goal stopper David Ospina is close to securing a move away from the Emirates to Turkish side Fenerbachce.
The 28-year-old played second fiddle to Petr Cech in Arsene Wenger’s pecking order in starting eleven although he enjoyed more Champions League action.
Daily Star reporter revealed while speaking with TalkSPORT that a deal for Ospina has been finalised
“The fact is that Ospina’s leaving for Fenerbahce,” He said, via The Star. “He’s on a fast plane to Istanbul tomorrow, probably, so I find it very strange [that he started the FA Cup final].
“Petr Cech has been, along with Alexis Sanchez, has been Arsenal’s best player this season.”
Ospina currently earns £40,000-a-week at Arsenal, he revealed he wants regular play time as his national side are on course to qualify for next year’s World Cup, he is set to play a major role in their final four outings in order to assure them a direct entry without having to feature in the inter-confederations playoffs.
