Arsenal are interested in AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca if reports emanating from Italy are to be believed.

It’s being reported that Arsenal would look to recruit a new striker this summer as Wenger aims to get the team challenging for titles again. Club’s representatives have had checks on a host of strikers as the club draws up its a list of target.

The latest name to be included on the short list is AC Milan’s, Bacca.

According to Tuttomercatoweb via The Daily Star, Arsenal scouts we’re at the San Siro to watch Bacca in action recently.

They claim Arsenal’s interest in the Colombian is increasing by the day and that is the reason for the recent checks on the striker.

With both Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud linked with moves away from the Emirates, the Gunners could actually be in the market for attacking reinforcements

While Bacca is a quality player, I don’t think he is what we currently need. After failing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in 21 years, the club should be looking out for world class or potential world class reinforcements and I don’t think the Milan striker is in either class.

The striker has only managed 13 Serie A goals this season which I think is poor for a striker who wants to play at our level.
