According to reports from The Sun, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has returned back to France to secure the services of Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal.
The French coach met with Lyon chief Jean-Michael Aulas in a bid to persuade him for the sale of Lacazette who has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates.
Wenger seems to be very serious in strengthening his squad this season after finish fifth in the Premier League table to miss out in the Champions League action next season.
The striker is rated at a cool £50m by Lyon, where he’s spent the entirety of his seven-year senior career.
And Arsenal will probably hope to take that valuation down a notch with plans to splash out £200,000 a week on Lacazette’s wage.
