Our previous report covered Arsenal are interested in signing Nice defensive midfielder Jean Michael Seri with Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis and Arsene Wenger spotted in face to discuss with the Ivorian agent.
Now reports from Tribal football claims Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere has said he hopes his club can keep midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
Ivory Coast international Seri, 25, played a key role as Nice finished third in Ligue 1 last season scoring seven goals and made nine assists.
And speaking to the “Team Duga” show on RMC radio, Rivere said only Roma had tabled an offer for Seri so far.
“We have one wish and that is to keep Jean Michael,” he said. “The press are saying a lot of things.
“As far as we are concerned, aside from Roma who firmed up their interest but were told that their offer was not big enough, there have been no offers from other clubs.”
