We previously reported Arsenal were interested in Sunderland starlet Joel Asoro and now reports claims Arsenal are keen on signing him this summer.
The young starlet has revealed Arsenal interest came as a shock and he looks forward to moving the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Asoro,18, is yet to make a full first-team debut for Sunderland but is seen by those at the Stadium of Light as one of the most promising prospects at the club.
Reports claims a £5 million bid from the Emirates outfit, a deal which would also include his Black Cats team-mate Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka.
“People were a little shocked because I have played very little first-team football,” Asoro told Swedish reporters.
“I’ve heard a little bit, but if I think about it too much, it becomes ‘what if, what if.’ I try not to think about it too much.
“It came as a shock. It is clear clubs contact each other and stuff, but it’s my agent in charge of it. I try to focus on my football.”
The Sweden Under-21 star, who has 14 Under-17 goals to his name, played nine minutes of Premier League football last season.
