Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to urge Arsene Wenger to re-sign Cesc Fabregas after the midfielder was reportedly told he could leave Chelsea by Antonio Conte this summer.
The 30-year-old has been found surplus at Chelsea having left the Emirates Stadium in 2011 after nearly a decade at the club.
Rumours emerged from Spanish newspaper AS that Fabregas could leave the Stamford Bridge, this has sent Arsenal fans onto social media pleading with their club to bring Fabregas home.
The Spaniard made 29 appearances in the Premier League last season, although 16 of those were as a substitute.
It is believed Chelsea are set to sign Real Madrid James Rodriguez as a possible replace for outbound Fabregas.
Arsenal have a large contingent of playmakers but many would see Fabregas as an upgrade on the club’s current stars like Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and the long-term injury victim Santi Cazorla.
Spain star Fabregas has frequently been left out the first team last season behind N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic.
And AS say Conte would rather have Rodriguez in his side as he prepares for a Champions League campaign.
