According to reports making the round, Arsenal are interested in signing Genk midfielder Sander Berge but will have to beat the likes of Everton, Monaco and Sevilla for the highly rated star.
The highly-rated Norwegian star has been watched by Gunners scouts for a number of months now and they are said to have built up a good rapport with the 19-year-old’s camp.
The defensive midfielder could provide a solution to Arsene Wenger’s long-standing blind and upgrade on Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny.
Berge made 27 appearances in all competitions, with his performances catching the eye of Arsenal scouts, while he has also appeared three times for the senior Norway national side.
Berge is expected to cost around £18m, which will not be an issue for Arsenal.
Now the big question is- Will Arsene Wenger Pay £18million for a 19-yearold?
And is he the quality of player Wenger should be looking for this summer?
