Reports in France claim Arsene Wenger has directly contacted Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe ahead of a possible move to the Emirate Stadium this summer.
Per the report, the French manager spoke on phone with the teenager and offered him a career advice with a bid of persuading the youngster in signing for Arsenal.
Previous reports claimed the 18-year-old has revealed his intension for playing for Arsenal having said he sees Arsenal as a stepping stone in having a successful career.
Mbappe helped fire Monaco to the Ligue 1 title last season as well as to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The forward netted 24 goals last season – which has attracted the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
A source said: “Kylian is currently thinking things over.
“Either he will go to a stepping-stone club, or directly to a great club.
“But his aim is very clear: to sign for one of the two biggest clubs in the world, they are Real Madrid or Barcelona for him, before reaching the age of 22.”
The 18-year-old has also been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
