Reports making the round suggest Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has appeared as a target of AC Milan
The Italian giants are not the only club interested in signing the Frenchman as he has attracted plenty of interest this summer as Manchester City, Marseille and clubs from the Chinese Super League have also been mentioned as suitors for him.
The 31-year-old has three years left on his current contract and now reports claims Arsenal will have to fend off AC Milan and French club Marseille for his signature.
According to Telefoot, big-spending Milan are now making Koscielny one of their top targets as they look to improve on a shaky backline that let in 45 goals in Serie A last season.
When asked last month if he’d favour qualifying for Europe’s top club competition or winning the FA Cup, he replied: ‘Playing in the Champions League. It is a competition player want to play because you play against the best teams in Europe. For the players, it is always an important competition.
‘It is important for Arsenal, a club who played for 20 years in this competition to be qualified for another year.’
