Arsenal Ladies have signed Scottish international Lisa Evans, the club announced on Thursday.
Evans, who previously played for Bayern Munich, has had tons of international success, where she has scored 12 goals in 48 appearances for Scotland. She also helped her country qualify for the 2017 UEFA Women’s European Championships, which will take place next month. During qualifiers, she scored twice for Scotland, against Belarus and Macedonia.
She made 49 appearances at Bundesliga rival Turbine Potsdam. She also played for Glasgow City, where she scored 46 goals in four years.
“Obviously [the facilities are] mind-blowing,” Evans told Arsenal Player. “It’s really impressive, the gym and all the infrastructure, all the pitches, it looks class.
“It’s a group that has got many good players and I’m just hoping to bring something different, maybe some more pace and power in the wide areas and try and create more chances for the team.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I’m looking forward to [starting].”
