Report making the round claims Arsenal flop Yaya Sanogo is set to sign a deal wit French side Toulouse this summer having failed to break into Arsene Wenger’s start Eleven.
The striker, who made just 20 appearances in four injury-hit years with the Gunners, is close to signing for French side Toulouse.
Sanogo joined Arsenal in the summer of 2013, and was seen as a real star of the future but his future.
And now it seems Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse are prepared to take a chance on the 24-year-old, according to respected French newspaper L’Equipe.
They are desperate to reinforce their forward line after being rocked by the news star striker Martin Braithwaite wants to leave the club.
Yaya Sanogo’s injury-hit spell with Arsenal came to an end this summer – and he could be set for a return to French football.
Sanogo was released this summer by the Gunners alongside Academy players Stefan O’Connor, Kristopher da Graca and Kostas Pileas.
In a statement posted on Arsenal’s website, it read: “Yaya Sanogo and academy players Stefan O’Connor, Kristopher da Graca and Kostas Pileas will leave us at the end of their contracts this summer.
“Yaya made 20 competitive appearances for us, including a key role off the bench in 2014 Emirates FA Cup final as we lifted the trophy in his debut season.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Yaya, Stefan, Kristopher and Kostas and wish them all the best for the future.”
