Report making the round, claim Arsenal are preparing an improved bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
Sky Sports report that Arsenal are close to agreeing on a club-record deal to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon that could see Arsenal pay around €50 million up front.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says that he is preparing for Lacazette’s exit – but will only let him leave if he can find a replacement.
Aulas said: “Alexandre should have left for Atletico, but that could not be done.
“He wants to leave and we want to keep him, but the decision is not made.
“The case would obviously be the arrival of a player capable of scoring 25 to 30 goals per year.
“It will be a French international or a player of a very large European club.”
Our previous report suggests Lyon has already found a replacement for Lacazette should he make the switch to the Emirate Stadium this summer.
Reports suggest Lyon have already completed a move for Chelsea star Bertrand Traore for £16million.
