Reports making the round claim Arsenal are ready to up their offer for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar having seen two bid rejected already this summer.
The Ligue 1 champions rejected Arsenal’s €40 million bid for the 21-year-old winger, and with three years remaining on his current contract, they are under no obligation to cash in.
But The Mail on Sunday now claims that Arsenal are increasing their offer to £45m, which will be topped up to £50m with add-ons.
Lemar, who plays on the left wing, was a key part of Monaco’s title-winning campaign last season with nine goals and 10 assists in 34 Ligue 1 appearances.
The winger began his youth career at Solidarite Scolaire before joining Caen in 2010.
In 2013 he broke into the first team at Caen, before Monaco snapped him up in a £4m deal 2o15.
The 21-year-old is rated highly by the national team and has played for the U17s, U18s, U19s, U20s and U21s before appearing in the senior side.
