Popular Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli who is known for reporting untrue Arsenal transfer rumours has dropped another transfer bomb claiming Monaco has reduced their asking fee from £80m to £53m if Arsene Wenger wants to see Thomas Lemar make the switch this summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been busy in this summer transfer window having completed the signing of Sead Kolasnic from Schalke 04 and Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon in a club record fee of £52.6m fee.
Giulianelli claims Arsenal will have to break the transfer record again if Wenger truly wants to sign the Tottenham target.
The left winger has been sensational for the Ligue 1 champions, he was signed from SM Cean for just £4million.
However, journalist Emanuele Giulianelli has claimed Monaco have now quoted Arsenal a fee of £53m to secure a deal for the winger.
“Monaco have said they want €60m [£53m] from Arsenal for Lemar,” Giulianelli tweeted.
“Player pushing for the move. Confirmed.”
