Alexis Sanchez has entered the final year in his contract with Arsenal. The Chilean’s return from a break after Confederations Cup was announced by Wenger.

However, Sanchez called sick for the pre-season training as soon as he returned. He posted a pic on Instagram with a caption which read “Sick”.

This event has reignited the rumors linking the 28-year-old with PSG and Manchester City. Manchester City goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo has commented that Sanchez would be welcomed with open arms to The Etihad.

The Sun has reported that Pep Guardiola’s club have already agreed terms for a fee of £50 million.

The offer will make Sanchez the highest earner at The Etihad with weekly wages of around £320,000. There are also provisions for performance related add-ons which might take the wages up to even £400,000 per week.

Wenger has backed down over Sanchez’s availability and has stood to his long lasting stance that Sanchez is not for sale. Arsenal might also allow him to go for free, next season, according to reports, but he is not at all available in this season.

A report from Mirror contradicts the whole situation by saying Manchester City’s pursuit of Sanchez is over.
