David Ospina has revealed that he wants to stay at Arsenal in this summer’s transfer window.
The Colombian international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Turkish giants Fenerbahce believed to have a long-standing interest in the goalkeeper.
Ospina, however, has said that he ‘wants to continue’ at Arsenal despite being the London club’s number two stopper behind Petr Cech.
“I have a contract here, I’m happy and I’m going to fight to the end, I want to continue and win a job,” Ospina told reporters. “That’s what I’m working for, I’ve been working for three years and now I’m waiting for the opportunity.”
The 28-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Nice in the summer of 2014, has only made six Premier League appearances for the Gunners over the last two campaigns.
