According to reports, Newcastle United target, Lucas Perez’s agent claimed that the transfer price that Arsenal has put up for the players is not admissible explaining that no club would prefer to sign his client for £13.4million.

“€15m (£13.4m) is an expensive price,” Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle told Goal.

“Lucas wants to go to the World Cup and be happy at a place where he has opportunities to play.”

Nonetheless, Newcastle have different plans for the forward as they are looking to offer a loan deal with a further obligation clause to buy the striker.

Newcastle United might face a tough competition in signing Perez though as his boyhood club Deportivo La Coruna are leading the race to sign the striker.

Perez’s agent also claimed that the London based club has been disrespectful towards his client after the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, to whom they assigned the No. 9 jersey without informing his client.

“He [transfer negotiator Dick Law] called me and when they gave the number it was already on the Arsenal website,” Fernandez Lovelle continued.

“I thought it was not very elegant that they did not at least tell the player first.”

Arsenal’s disregarding gesture left Lucas disappointed with the club. Also, manager Arsene Wenger has made the situation for Perez clear that the team is congested with a lot of strikers.

Perez wants to head to a club that assures him of regular first team football because he is desperate to grab an spot in Spain’s 2018 World Cup squad.
