According to the French media sources, Liverpool are ready to beat Arsenal for the signature of Nice defender Dalbert.
Nice left-back Dalbert is willing to leave the French side in the summer transfer window and has set his sights on a move to Inter Milan.
The highly-demanded Brazilian has reportedly already agreed terms on a five-year contract deal with the Serie A giants.
However, Nice are yet to agree a transfer fee with the Italian side – holding out for a sum close to £26m. And the reports from Mercato365 claim that this has given Liverpool the opportunity to swoop for the full-back.
It is believed that the Reds are looking into a deal for Dalbert and have shortlisted the South American as they hunt for a new left-back.
The Reds head coach Jurgen Klopp converted James Milner into a makeshift defender last term with great effect. However, with club’s outcast Alberto Moreno set to leave this summer, the Merseyside giants are still keen to strengthen in that area of the field.
The same sources suggest that Arsenal have also previously tracked Dalbert. The Brazilian came through the youth ranks at Flamengo before being snapped up by Nice in 2016.
Dalbert has made 38 appearances for the League 1 club last season in all competitions, registering four assists. His current deal with the Ligue 1 side runs until June 2021.
