While the fans of Arsenal are still hoping that there’ll be at least one entrant at the club before the close of the window, Arsene Wenger is all about reducing the headcount of his current squad.

French star and Arsenal right back Mathieu Debuchy is on the transfer radar of Turkish club Besiktas and they have reportedly offered him a contract.

Debuchy who joined Arsenal as a direct replacement for  Bacary Sagna from Newcastle in the summer of 2014 has seen his stock fallen due to the emergence of Hector Bellerin. The French star had picked up a shoulder injury and Bellerin, who played in his stead, imposed himself as first choice.

Debuchy spent half of the penultimate season on loan at Bordeaux but on his return to Arsenal last season, he managed just one League appearance and spent most of the season with the B team of the Gunners. He has endured an injury-filled spell with Arsenal, which has accounted for his predicament.

He has been on the exit list of Arsenal and reports have showed that Arsenal will listen for offers for him – we understand that the Gunners may even lower their asking price for the star so that his wage demand would be met.

And now Turkish outlet Takvim claim the Super Lig side Besiktas are poised to sign the right back. The report further claims are will to offer him £2.3m-a-season in wages as they believe it will be enough to lure him.

Debuchy currently has two-years on his contract and he is certain to leave Arsenal this summer.

According to transfermarkt, he is valued at 15,00 Mill. €
