According to journalist Mark Mann-Bryans, Premier League giants Arsenal have received as many as 7 bids for wantaway striker Lucas Perez this summer.
The Spaniard was signed last summer from Deportivo La Coruna for £17million and have failed to break into Arsene Wenger’s first-team since his arrival.
Now report claim Everton are among the clubs to have made bids to sign Arsenal’s unwanted striker Lucas Perez before the transfer deadline later this month.
The Toffees have invested heavily in new signings this summer, with the likes of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney all joining the club.
Arsenal has four strikers on their first team roster. Everton has been linked with three of them. The latest is outcast Lucas Perez, a player that Arsene Wenger bought but apparently doesn’t like, which is confusing because the Spaniard actually played well when given the opportunity last term.
Perez wants first-team football, and Everton could offer him that, just a year after Arsenal hijacked Everton’s move to sign Perez from Deportivo La Coruna, where he had smashed 24 goals in 59 games, as reported by The Telegraph.
