According to reports, Arsenal could suffer a massive transfer blow in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Julian Draxler as his agent has ruled out the possibility of his client leaving the Ligue 1 club this summer transfer window.
Draxler has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirate Stadium in previous transfer and now reports claims The Germany international’s future at the Ligue 1 side has been cast in doubt following the arrival of Neymar in a world-record £198m deal from Barcelona earlier this month.
Draxler has fallen down the pecking order at the French club despite the promising German forward completing a £40m switch to Parc des Princes from Schalke 04 back in January.
However, the Daily Mirror is reporting that both Arsenal and Liverpool are now interested in signing the want-away PSG striker.
And his agent Roger Wittmann has attempted to end the transfer speculation after confirming Draxler would not be leaving despite Neymar’s arrival.
“We are not interested in whether [French newspaper] L’Equipe wrote something,” Wittmann said to Sport 1 in Germany. “There has been no change, it is not a topic.
“If somebody writes ‘I have this information from [PSG chairman and CEO] Nasser Al-Khelaifi,’ then I will consider it and call the president to speak about Julian’s situation.
“Once again, though, this is not the case. So, everything has been said.”
