Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will try again in signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco in the January transfer window.
The Gunners saw two bid knocked down by the Ligue 1 Champions for the 21-year-old French star.
Reports also claimed Arsenal saw a late bid of £92m rejected following Manchester City ‘s £60m offer for Alexis Sanchez on deadline day.
But Lemar, 21, declined a move to the Emirates, meaning Sanchez’s switch to City was called off.
However, Wenger has not given up on bringing Lemar to Arsenal, revealing he will try to capture the Monaco player’s signature in January.
“Yes, we bid €100m for Lemar but the player wanted to stay in Monaco,” Wenger told Telefoot.
“Yes, we’ll come back in for him.”
