According to the BBC, Calum Chambers has extended his Arsenal current contract Arsenal until 2021, the English defender signed the two-year extension with the club.
The 22-year-old England international signed for Arsenal in summer of 2014 for £16m, from Southampton after a good 2013/14 season.
However, due to the arrival of the likes of Shkodran Mustafi and Gabriel Paulista he hasn’t broken into the first team as yet. The signing of Rob Holding last season pushed him even further down the pecking order, and many expected him to leave The Gunners. However, Arsenal manager decided that it would be a good idea for a loan move and he went to Middlesbrough on loan last season.
Defensively Arsenal have thinned things out and both Gabriel Paulista and Kieran Gibbs left to join Valencia and West Bromwich respectively while Mathieu Debuchy remains at Arsenal desperately looking for a way out.
Chambers has played in 60 games for Arsenal and also been capped in four matches for England. He scored three goals for the club and won the FA Cup in 2015 with The Gunners.
