Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves says Alexis Sanchez could yet join him on the French side despite rising talks that the Arsenal striker is set to secure the deal with Manchester City.
The ex Barcelona attacker is out of a deal in the summer and has no desire of discussing a new contract with Arsene Wenger’s team. Premier League opponents City are said to be increasingly confident of securing the 28-year-old and will reportedly test Arsenal’s purpose in January with a £20million offer.
PSG stay interested, however, and with Sanchez able to speak with foreign teams come January, Alves isn’t set to admit loss yet. ‘It’s a chance. He’s courted by many teams,” – he said.
“It would be nice if he joined us. I will always appreciate him and I will always wish him the best wherever he goes.’
Alves moved to PSG from Juventus in the summer along with countryman Neymar and stories earlier this month said the Ligue 1 side were hopeful the Brazilian, both ex-teammates of Sanchez’s, would be able to convince him to sign. It is also suggested that Sanchez has been offered a beautiful £10million bonus if he secures a pre-contract agreement with the Parisians.
