According to early team news released by Arsene Wenger, The French tactician confirmed Mathieu Debuchy will start for Arsenal in Thursday’s night’s Europa League clash against Red Star Belgrade.
Debuchy has not featured for the Gunners since limping off injured after just 16 minutes in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth in a Premier League meeting at the Emirates Stadium last November and has been expected to leave in the summer.
“He has not played for a long time because every time he is close to coming back he gets injured again,” Wenger told reporters.
“He will certainly start tomorrow.”
Skhodran Mustafi is nursing a groin problem which he sustained on international duty, while Calum Chambers remains sidelined and there are still concerns in regards to Laurent Koscielny who limped out of the 2-1 loss away at Watford at the weekend.
